Elaine Collins
Managing Director
Elaine, Managing Director of Tod Productions, was previously a Producer and Executive Producer at ITV Studios, where she optioned Ann Cleeves’ Vera Stanhope novels which she developed and produced as Vera, starring Brenda Blethyn. She was also responsible for developing and executive producing three series of the hugely successful BBC1 crime drama Shetland starring Douglas Henshall. Most recently, Elaine was Creative Director at BBC Drama, before starting Tod Productions.
At Tod, Elaine has built a slate of distinctive, high quality, writer led shows. Criminal Record is Tod Productions’ first commission. In 2021 Tod Productions’ exclusive partnership with STV was extended for a further three years.
Julia Walsh
Development Director
Julia began her career at BBC Films before becoming a script editor in BBC’s comedy and drama departments, working on shows such as Five Days, Absolute Power and The Long Firm. As Head of Development of ITV Studios Drama, she oversaw the development of 160 hours of scripted drama including Vera, Dark Heart and A Mother’s Son. Before joining Tod, she was Managing Director of scripted production company Neon Ink.
Amy Tobias
Script Editor
Amy is Script Editor at Tod Productions and also works across the Development Slate. She recently script edited Criminal Record for Apple TV and They F**k You Up pilot for Sky. Previously she worked at Silverprint Pictures (ITV Studios) where she developed from Assistant to the Creative Director to Assistant Script Editor and Development Assistant. During this time, she was Assistant Script Editor on ITV’s The Long Call and brought a project onto the slate. Amy has also been a reader for the 4Screenwriting Course, Sonia Friedman Productions and Entertainment One.
Katie Chapman
Executive Assistant
Katie joined the Tod team as Executive Assistant to Elaine Collins in 2021. She previously spent two years at Sony-backed indie Stolen Picture, assisting the team across the company’s slate including Truth Seekers for Amazon Prime and Sara Pascoe’s sitcom Out of Her Mind for BBC Two. During her time at Stolen Picture, she developed from Receptionist and Runner to Office Coordinator. Katie has also been a reader for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition.
